We use the Electrostatic Painting Process on all Steel & Iron items that we refinish. If you are looking for a paint that resembles brass, copper, or alluminum, check our Metallic Resemblance page for more information.

Whats Included

  • We work on-site, so we start by masking the area we are working in and around. We also mask anything on the item itself that does not get painted.
  • Next, we sand and remove anything causing surface imperfections. This includes rust, tape, plaster, glue, etc. (We can fix exterior damage with bondo at an additional charge.)
  • Following the masking and sanding process, all steel & iron items are thoroughly cleaned to remove any oils and dirt.
  • If rust is present, a rust inhibitor is applied with the HVLP Process. If conditions do not permit the use of the HVLP Process, we will brush it on, sand the item, and clean the surface again.
  • When the item is ready to paint, the Electrostatic Painting begins, and we cover your item with the highest quality paint available. (We can also use the HVLP Process to spray Scuffmaster paint at an additional charge.)
  • We allow for a short dry-to-touch time, and unmask the item. We garuntee that no mess or overspray will be left behind when we finish the job.

For information about the quality of our paint and drying times, we use Urethane Paint, for well venthilated areas and outdoors. If the item is painted, indoors with little venthilation, an Enamel Paint is used, in accordance with federal regulations.
