We have been in the bathub refinishing business for years. Sometimes it is necessary to add a handicap access to an existing fiberglass bathtub/shower. We add this access by removing a 19in wide and 20in deep (Varies by Bathtub Depth) section of the tubs side. The sections that are cut out, are re-used, so that it appears to be part of the original fiberglass mold. Upon completion, the bathtub portion of the enclosure is refinished.
