Whats the difference between electrostatic painting and hvlp painting?

Electrostatic painting can only be used on metal items, and has little to no overspray. Due to electomagnetic bonds, the paint can also be applied much thicker. HVLP painting is a spray painting method that does have mild over spray, and a higher lint factor. The lint factor is the chance for dust particles to be blown around and eventually settle on the refinished object.
